The location was great. There were a number of good places to eat and cafes nearby. I was able to walk to a few different Wats, the Presidential Palace, and the Night Market along the river. I definitely felt safe in the area. The staff was extremely friendly. They helped me store my luggage after I checked out before I could move into my apartment. Some of them spoke English, which was a helpful bonus. The breakfast was great. It was a mixture of western and Asian foods. The scrambled eggs and banana bread was delicious! And I tried strawberry juice for the first time, which will be a regular drink in my fridge from now on! I’ve stayed in an Ibis in another country before and the rooms at this one were exactly the same. I liked staying in a familiar hotel while in an unfamiliar country. The staff at this location was top notch! I definitely recommend this place.

ibis Vientiane Nam Phu is the most value for money hotel in the city. Its location is perfect walking distance to all the happening areas and the wonderful Nam Phu park. But the best thing about the property is its staff and hospitality. Every day they have been kind and helpful and super welcoming. The craziest thing happened to me today, so I lost my wallet outside of the hotel but nearby, and then one of the hotel staff - Seua came with me to the police station and helped me look for it all over the place. And best part is the wallet was found and returned to me because of keeping my hotel key card within. Along with Seua, I want to shout out the entire staff: Laty, Ms. Pat, Noy, Bee, Toumor, Mor, and everyone else. Team ibis is genuinely the best and I highly recommend everyone to stay here for the best experience.

The staff were very attentive and super friendly. We were there for 3 nights and all the staff for the different shifts were all equally good. The location is great with many restaurants within walking distance. One which deserve specially mention is Khim Chai Deu, a western and Lao hybrid dishes. Three of the must see sites in Vientiane - Wat Sisaket, Ho Pra Keow and the Patuxay - War Memorial are within walking distance. No need to sign up for the tours. The room size is adequate although on the smaller side. The room is clean and was cleaned every day.

Literally a home away from home in Lao PDR. One of the best decisions I made during my trip was this hotel. The room, the staff, the location, the price. Its modern interiors provide comfort as you explore a new world outside everyday. The resto food and room service were the perfect mix of Lao cuisine and the go-to comfort food. The lobby doubles as a 24/7 work station with outlets. The staff were also so kind despite my unlimited questions as a tourist.

Nice, comfortable room. Shower is amazing and hot water at the sink. Pillows were a bit hard and high, but a word with reception and they were replaced with softer ones. Room cleaned properly and bed remade every day. For longer stays, sheets and towels can be replaced whenever you choose. Staff are excellent. Helpful and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. 10-15 minutes walk in any direction takes you to all the major attractions.
